Tamsin grew up in an English town that goes by the name of Macclesfield; it’s the same town that Joy Division were from and that’s the way she likes it. New York beckoned, as it has a tendency to do and a relocation was inevitable. She now spends all of her time thinking about music, writing about music and dreaming up ways to get Incubus to do a session for her beloved creation; Secret Sound Shop.
Hollie Jones
Co-Founder & Producer (US)
Hollie is a music photographer and writer extraordinaire and co-founded Secret Sound Shop with an enthusiasm usually reserved for toddlers on Christmas morning. The best day of her life came when the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl for the fourth time. You’ll find her with a blackberry always in hand and she runs the battery down on that thing like it’s going out of fashion. If you have a plug socket, she will probably need to use it. Oh, and this cheesehead has an eerie determination to one day wed Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.
Chandra Johnson
Editor (US)
Chandra Johnson works in digital production at MTV, and spends her free time scouring for vinyl, walking around her neighborhood in Brooklyn and taking Polaroid’s. She loves krakens and the cough in the beginning of the 1975’s “Head.Cars.Bending.”

George grew up in rural Devon, but being born in West London it was inevitable he would hear the call of the big city. On returning to London he studied music technology at the London School of Music. A self-confessed audiophile, sound recording/designing and composing and all things nerdy have become his life, and he loves it. My Morning Jacket, The Gaslight Anthem and British Sea Power are among his favourite bands.
Andrew Higgs

Born and raised on a pretty little rock called Guernsey, Andrew’s former years were shaped by building sandcastles, drinking amazing milk and trying to imitate the football skills of Ryan Giggs. Then, probably at no loss to the premier league, he discovered music and the guitar. Before long, the bright lights of London called and a music/film&tv degree offered the means of an escape! After working in sports TV and developing as an editor at the Discovery channel, Andrew is now a freelance editor and loyal member of the SSS crew.

Having lived in over 12 different countries since birth and having travelled to many more, Karma is a truly multi-cultured citizen of the world. For this reason, she can happily say ‘home is where the heart is’ and her heart is enjoyably split between London, UK and Klippan, Sweden. She currently works for Music Week magazine, whilst scribbling words about her favorite bands and artists for various other ventures. She loves going to gigs so you’ll hardly ever find her at home before 12pm on a weekday and life was a blur before she was introduced to melodic metal and Keane.

Jessica is a student at The King’s College in New York City studying Media, Culture and the Arts. She is figuring out how to balance college life with living in the city. She can probably be found at the park eating dessert and saying something both awkward and hilarious. You should go say hi.

Erik is a student at Fashion Institute of Technology studying Advertising, Marketing and Communications. He likes watching a lot of movies and drinking a lot of coffee. During his free time, he can be found not knowing where he’s going and listening to The Shins.
